The South Australian Government Gazette has a long history of publishing official government notices, but its website was starting to show its age.
After more than a decade, the existing design needed a refresh to make information easier to find, read and navigate.
I redesigned the website with a focus on usability, accessibility and clear information hierarchy, while respecting the history and authority of the publication.
The challenge was finding the right balance between a contemporary digital experience and the formal nature of the content. Clean layouts, considered typography and simplified navigation helped make the site more approachable without losing its official character.
The redesigned website is now live at governmentgazette.sa.gov.au, giving users a clearer and more modern way to access government notices.
